Ozzfest has announced two more acts for their free summer tour, and both are worthy contenders: Polish black metal bashers, Behemoth (say that 10 times fast), and Taiwanese black metal band, Chthonic.

Behemoth will take the second stage right before headliners, Hatebreed. "I couldn't be more proud about the fact that Behemoth will be joining this year's Ozzfest. I'm speechless and beyond excited," says frontman, Nergal. "No doubt it's going to be the brightest point of our career thus far, and I hope that this will help to spread dangerous and extreme music among the masses. It's an honor to team up with our longtime brothers in Nile and to share the stage with Lamb of God and Hatebreed, not to mention the legend himself. With such a bill, you can expect nothing but pure metal carnage.

Behemoth's upcoming record, The Apostasy, is scheduled for release in July, at which point the tour will be in full swing. The album was recorded in Gdansk, Poland and produced by Nergal and sound engineer, Malta.

"Expect songs from The Apostasy [at Ozzfest], as well as some older stuff," adds Nergal. "We'll definitely make sure the set is going to be brutal. You've been warned."

Chthonic will be one of eight rotating bands on the second stage. At this point, the complete lineup is as follows:

Main Stage: Ozzy Osbourne, Lamb of God and show openers, Lordi, with just one group left to be announced.

Second Stage Fixed: Hatebreed, Behemoth, Mondo Generator

Second Stage Rotating: Nile, Ankla, Circus Diablo, The Showdown, 3 Inches of Blood, Daath, In This Moment and Cthonic.

Arguably the best of the 8 Films to Die For from 2006's After Dark Horrorfest, "The Gravedancers" (Lionsgate) combines supernatural, survival and splatter film styles into a story of blasphemy, revenge and murder.

Following a poltergeist-prompted hanging that's never explained, the production briefly turns into a buddy flick like "The Big Chill," with three college friends reuniting at the funeral of an old school chum who died in a car accident. But after the service, it quickly descends into a twisted and imaginative story that's marred only by a few minutes of baffling CGI effects.

The real action begins when Sid Vance (Marcus Thomas) meets up with his old friends Harris McKay (Dominic Purcell) and Kira Hastings (Josie Maran) at a reception after the funeral, and convinces them to return with him to the cemetery to send off their late pal in a way he would have appreciated.

There, they drink too much wine before finding a greeting card at the grave site with a few verses about celebrating life by dancing on the graves of the dead. Of course, the poem turns out to be a curse that awakens the spirits of the corpses whose burial plots they've desecrated, and from that point on, the film turns super-ugly as the three characters are haunted by the evil spirits of three bad eggs -- a piano-playing teacher who murdered her husband and his lover with an axe; a pyromaniac kid who torched his family; and a sadistic rapist and serial killer.

With the help of two parapsychologists, the three friends discover they have a month to end the brutal hauntings or die trying. What follows is a thrill ride of ghost attacks reminiscent of "The Entity," hallucinations that bring to mind "Nightmare on Elm Street" and mean-spirited slice-em-ups straight from the best '80s slashers.

The acting in "The Gravedancers" is convincing and the camera effects keep the atmosphere chilling. The scare tactics work, and even the story is fairly original as far as these things go. But what really keeps the story compelling is the chemistry between characters, who are far more empathetic and believable than the disposable and interchangeable victims that usually frequent these kinds of movies.

The DVD for "The Gravedancers" includes commentary with director Mike Mendez and composer Joseph Bishara, the making-of featurettes "A Grave Undertaking" and "Making the Ghosts" and deleted scenes. The disc also features trailers for the other seven films in the After Dark Horrorfest series.

They may write songs based on the Jewish mysticism of the Kabbalah, but that doesn't stop Atlanta death metal band Daath from opening up a can of whup-ass every now and again -- and sometimes even more often than that.

In an interview with MTVnews.com Metal File, guitarist Eyal Levi says that during the band's recent tour with Goatwhore, The Acacia Strain and Job For a Cowboy, Daath found themselves in the middle of nine different fights. On one such occasion, an audience member attacked singer Sean Farber after he poured water on the crowd.

"I guess some dude didn't like it, and he told us to stop — in the middle of a song, mind you," Levi says. "First of all, we're not going to stop. Secondly, how do you expect a band to hear that? So he charged the stage and spit in Sean's face. Sean saw him rushing towards the stage and hit him in the face with his microphone. After the show, the dude jumped our merch guy because he thought it was Sean. So let's just say I'm going to be ready next time."

Heavy metal mosh pit

This is the coolest photo we've ever seen of a heavy metal moshpit. The demonic swirl of flailing headbangers spinning in a violent circle is pure art. Check out the sole dude in the middle in the eye of what appears to be a very fierce storm. If you look closely, you can even see gritted teeth -- a must for surviving concentric pummeling.

If we had to guess, we'd say Slayer were onstage, but the propeller-like velocity of the rotations lends itself more readily to blasters like Napalm Death or Immolation. Of course, since this photo was obviously shot with a long shutter speed, it's entirely possible someone like Staind or Saliva were playing. And, that's a far more scary notion than a gigantic moshpit devouring everything in its path.

This weekend, Shadows Fall will premiere their new video for "Redemption" on Headbangers Ball. The track comes from the band's upcoming album, Threads of Life, which comes out April 3.

On March 26, "Redemption" premiered as MTV2's Unleashed's clip of the day, airing on the hour. On March 27, Shadows Fall was the featured artist on MTV2's The Drop.

Threads of Life was produced by Nick Raskulinecz (Rush, Foo Fighters, Velvet Revolver). Shadows Fall are currently on the Jägermeister Music Tour, which also features Stone Sour and Lacuna Coil.

If you're unsure whether or not you want to spend hard-earned money on the new Static-X record, Cannibal (which comes out April 3), the entire disc can be streamed here.

Once you hear songs like "Cannibal," "Behemoth" and "No Submission," we think you'll agree that this baby's worth the price of admission. The album features the heaviest, most abrasive music the band has released since 2001's Machine, and is both a reflection of the times and an expression of frontman Wayne Static's desire to return to his roots.

"I think it's the most metal record we've ever made, and it's arguably the heaviest record we've ever made," he says. "But with this record, I had a good time just getting back to balls-out screaming and challenging myself vocally, as well as in the songwriting. I felt like I was back working on [our first album] Wisconsin Death Trip, where I focused on stripping away the excess as much as possible to write short, simple, catchy songs."

Cannibal was produced by John Travis, who has previously worked with Buckcherry and Kid Rock), and the album track "No Submission" was featured on the soundtrack for "Saw III."

On March 26, at the world's first virtual press conference, Korn, Hellyeah and Atreyu talked with fans about this year's Family Values (click here, for the full story on MTVnews.com).

Fans got inside tour lineup information directly from the artists, as they went online to interact with computer generated images of their favorite band members. "The fans really made last year's tour incredible, so we just had to do it again this year," said Korn singer Jonathan Davis. "We could not be more excited about this year's lineup."

The tour launches on July 16 in St. Louis, Missouri, and will also feature Evanescence, Trivium and Flyleaf.

"We are very psyched to see some of our favorite bands and getting all of our fans together for this amazing festival," said Evanescence frontwoman, Amy Lee.

In addition to normally priced house seats, lawn seats will be available for $9.99 at every outdoor stop. "It's important to us that we do all we can to have a great line-up and make this tour affordable," said Davis. "Live music should be something that all of us should be able to share together. The success of last year's tour proves we can make a difference. I believe it has already had an effect on a lot of other tours, and that's cool."

Family Values will hit the following cities (dates and venues TBA): St. Louis, MO; Minneapolis, MN; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; Camden, NJ; Boston, MA; Washington DC; Hartford, CT; Buffalo, NY; Detroit, MI; Toronto, ON; Pittsburgh, PA; Scranton, PA; East Rutherford, NJ; Indianapolis, IN; Atlanta, GA; Orlando, FL; Miami, FL; Tampa, FL; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; San Antonia, TX; Oklahoma City, OK; Kansas City, MO; Denver, CO; Albuquerque, NM; Phoenix, AZ; Bakersfield, CA; Sacramento, CA; San Francisco, CA; Irvine, CA.
