Ozzfest has announced two more acts for their free summer tour, and both are worthy contenders: Polish black metal bashers, Behemoth (say that 10 times fast), and Taiwanese black metal band, Chthonic.

Behemoth will take the second stage right before headliners, Hatebreed. “I couldn’t be more proud about the fact that Behemoth will be joining this year’s Ozzfest. I’m speechless and beyond excited,” says frontman, Nergal. “No doubt it’s going to be the brightest point of our career thus far, and I hope that this will help to spread dangerous and extreme music among the masses. It’s an honor to team up with our longtime brothers in Nile and to share the stage with Lamb of God and Hatebreed, not to mention the legend himself. With such a bill, you can expect nothing but pure metal carnage.

Behemoth’s upcoming record, The Apostasy, is scheduled for release in July, at which point the tour will be in full swing. The album was recorded in Gdansk, Poland and produced by Nergal and sound engineer, Malta.

“Expect songs from The Apostasy [at Ozzfest], as well as some older stuff,” adds Nergal. “We’ll definitely make sure the set is going to be brutal. You’ve been warned.”

Chthonic will be one of eight rotating bands on the second stage. At this point, the complete lineup is as follows:

Main Stage: Ozzy Osbourne, Lamb of God and show openers, Lordi, with just one group left to be announced.

Second Stage Fixed: Hatebreed, Behemoth, Mondo Generator

Second Stage Rotating: Nile, Ankla, Circus Diablo, The Showdown, 3 Inches of Blood, Daath, In This Moment and Cthonic.

And now, the video for Behemoth’s “Slaves Shall Serve”:
