The premiere heavy metal ballet company, Ballet Deviare, is holding auditions on June 30 from 1 to 4 p.m.
According to a news bulletin, the company is looking for “technical dancers with a dark aesthetic.” In additions, the dancers must “have the ability to pick up non-traditional choreography.”
Dancers with performance experience who are interested in auditioning should send a resume and current photo right away to info@balletdeviare.org. Those who will be auditioned will be emailed the location and time.
Here are the company’s requirements: Female dancers must bring ponte shoes; non-U.S. citizens must have Green Cards; those who audition must provide a resume, photo and a $10 application fee.
Dancers chosen for Ballet Deviare will receive only performance pay.
We’re guessing this heavy metal dancer shouldn’t bother applying:

This is amazing! This company is so great. They are in fact the premiere heavy metal ballet company. Other companies try to do so called cutting edge work but they just can’t because it comes off as corny and trite. This company has changed the face of the old, boring, frilly, and annoying art of ballet.
Hails to BD.
