The new Drowning Pool album Full Circle is the band’s first offering in three years and their first to feature new singer Ryan McCombs (ex-Soil). The belter replaced Jason “Gong” Jones, who left in 2005 because of “irreconcilable differences” and is currently in AM Conspiracy. The disc is also Drowning Pool’s first for their new label Eleven Seven Music.

With all those variables, fans would be wise to take advantage of the group’s invitation to try before you buy. The full album is currently streaming in its entirety and provides full disclosure of the musical growth and lyrical development Drowning Pool have undergone since releasing their last album Desensitized.

The new disc was produced by Ben Schigel (Chimaira, Walls of Jericho) and includes a collaboration with Nikki Sixx and Beautiful Creatures guitarist DJ Ashba, “Reason I’m Alive,” and an uptempo cover of Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell.” Full Circle comes out August 7.

And if you still miss the band’s original singer, the late, great Dave Williams, watch the video for “Bodies”:
