The election is over and the Dead have won.
Today, System of a Down singer Serj Tankian released his long-awaited solo album Elect the Dead, which is sure to rank near the top of next week’s Billboard Hot 200 album chart. To promote the album, Tankian posted an entertaining spoof of himself being interviewed by, well, himself.
In addition to playing the performer and interviewer in the EPK, Tankian takes on the roles of producer, studio engineer, A&R man, label president and pizza delivery guy. There’s no question that the video is amusing, but it’s also informative, revealing most of the information you’d get from any other nine minute TV interview.
