Having recently completed a U.S. tour with Korn and Droid, Los Angeles quintet Five Finger Death Punch launched a headlining tour October 29 in Spokane, Washington. Dates are scheduled through December 14 in Wichita, Kansas.
Before heading out, Five Finger frontman Ivan Moody (ex-Motograter) sat down with Korn singer Jonathan Davis for a video interview about: Korn’s writing process; the pressures of stardom; the musical Davis is working on with classical composer Richard Gibbs (ex-Oingo Boingo) and horror novelist Clive Barker; Davis’ upcoming solo acoustic tour (which starts November 9 in Hartford, Connecticut and runs through December 11 in Las Vegas); being a father; and his advice for younger, less established artists.

well, the fact is KoRn kicks ass and they are the greatest band ever to walk the face of the earth. i have seen them 6 times so far in concert. i just saw 5 finger death punch a few months ago. they were awesome also. JONATHAN DAVIS YOU ARE THE COOLEST MO FO ALIVE. keep makin awesome music.

Its really cool to the singer of a great band interveiw the singer of a legendary band doesnt happen much was real down to earth and they talked lke they were hanging out not like yor average interveiw 5fdp is aweesome tho and it wouldve been nice if like john davis interveiwed ivan back
Haha, thats pretty crazy having these two together. They both $~?%~~* rock. And Ivan is a sick ass vocalist. $%$$, the whole damn FFDP crew kicks ass. Their Debut cd shocked me from the first time i heard it (at a tattoo shop) whilst getting art work done…and here i am im $~?%~~* addicted to them. Im a true KNUCLEHEAD! Rock the $%$$ 0n. Jon is one of my very favorite artists. An Original, I also think 5fdp will be around quite a while. They have that original edge to them as well!

Ivan Moody interviewing John Davis …It’s like a whole pass the torch/new and old thing.Ivan is actually a pretty intelligent guy and i think that it shows in this interview.His questions are poignant and introspective,while John Davis’s answers are the same.These are both sick bands and while Korn have definantly made their mark,Five Finger Death Punch are most certainly on their way……5FDP….fucking Word.

I liked the interview, it seemed like Ivan was too intense for Jon haha. Overall, it was good. Ivan represents such a talented band and it’s great to see him interviewing a veteran of the music world. I don’t doubt that one day it will be Ivan being the rock legend and another talented up and coming interviewing him.

Great interview! Five finger death punch is one of the only bands i can listen to over and over again. They have great personalities, they are awsome at shows, ivan is one intense dude, and the list can go on forever. I hope these guys take over the freakin world!

The interview was great…two of my favorite bands talking together. I really enjoy anything that has to do with Five Finger Death Punch. I heard there song on the radio, I saw there video on HEADBANGER’S BALL, and I’ve seen them live in concert. That was the ultimate trip. I would really like to see more of Five Finger Death Punch. More videos, more interviews, MORE FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH!!!!!!!

I LOVE FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH and KORN!! So this was an awesome interview to watch. FFDP is a very talented band and I am glad they were included on this year’s Family Values tour. They got a lot of much deserved exposure throught that tour. NO MERCY IT’S THE WAY OF THE FIST!!!
Wow! I am a major Jonathan fan. This interview is unbelievable because it is my fave artist interviewing another great. Ivan is so down to earth and just comfortable with the questions. That is a big deal when interviewing. It is really annoying when you get an interveiwer that just doesnt know what to ask or how. Two thumbs here. Five Finger Death Punch is well on their way to taking over the scene. And I will be there to watch every step of it.

I really enjoyed the interview and how in-depth and insightful it was to see two(in my opionion) of the industries top vocalists sit and talk was pretty cool. For 5FDP only being around for a short ammount of time comparatively to Korn it was cool to see Ivan doing the asking. 5FDP has definately earned its chops in the game and I fully expect them to keep it going for a long time. Keep playing the Vid and getting the word out there!

Insane interview!!! 2 of my favorite bands in one package. I missed 5FDP on the Family Values this year. They weren’t even on the roster when was at Family Values in Orlando, which made me insanely mad because I was so set on seeing 5FDP. Any ways the “The Way Of the Fist” was one of the best albums i’ve heard in ‘07 and “The Bleeding” video was great. Videos are way better when they’re acted out and not those stupid live feeds with the real song recorded over the act. Ivan really exceded his former band Motograter in this one, KEEP IT UP!!! Jon had great voclas for “Untitled”, but I wish they had kept to their old 90’s style, Clown, Thouhgtless, Shoots and Ladders, Trash, and Here to Stay still can’t be beaten!!!
Great interview. Five Finger is freakin badass. The way to succeed is to stay true to who you are both Korn and FFDP are those types of bands. Horns up, and keep it metal. Thanks for the insight.
Two of my favorate singers!!! Ivan sure asked the right questions for this interview. Ivan and his band Five Finger Death Punch have come a long way and certainly proved themselves on the Family Values tour as well as the “$@%*# we’ve got a prolbem” tour. If yiou havent heard the album “the way of the fist” you are soooo missing you!!!

Jonathan Davis is by far one of the most talented people that has ever hit the music industry and plus, he has such a great heart!
Ivan Moody is such a nice person and really does have the passion and the heart to get somewhere…5FDP is on it’s way to being one of the best. I’ve gotta say, that Ivan and the boys of 5FDP are very nice and have so much talent. I got to meet and hang-out with them all here in Tampa,Fl on the Family Values tour…good people, no lie!
