Kudos to Gvoltt for guessing that this week's Indecipherable Logo belongs to Draupnir. Limited editing tools on the primitive laptop we used over the holiday weekend prevented us from cropping the image properly, but we felt it was more important to work with what we had than to not work at all.
Draupnir are a French symphonic black metal band that formed in Paris in 2005. The group features singer and bassist Sade, guitarists Rees and Vargath and drummer Sinis.
The group's sole release so far is the ominous and imagistic Black And Vicious, which came out in 2006 on Erase Bible Records and was reissued this year on Autoproduction. The eleven-track disc included the controversial songs "In the Pleasure of Incest," "Welcome in Necrophilia" and "Adoration of Satanism."
