As Killswitch Engage geared up for a co-headlining tour with Lamb of God, Headbangers Ball Blog conducted a humorous and insightful podcast interview with guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz. During our 30 minutes together, he talked about the laxative effects of coffee; the back problems that threaten his career on an almost daily basis; his role as KSE's Flavor Flav; flatulence on the road; his side career as a producer and how Killswitch's next record might feature the fastest songs they've ever played.

In our last boxing ring clip with Phil Anselmo this week, Down's frontman draws a parallel between boxers going from the gym to the professional ring and rockers going from the garage to the club stage. See it again on Saturday's MTV2's Headbangers Ball along with more Anselmo interview footage and the on-air debut of Down's new video "On March the Saints."

For their new video, Otep created a spiritual, but nightmarish vision for their cover of Nirvana's "Breed" from their new album, The Ascension, which came out October 30. The band shot the clip earlier this year with director Paul Brown, who helped Otep craft a surreal commentary about materialism, the media and perceptions of happiness.

"It was my pleasure to work with Paul Brown again," says frontwoman Otep Shamaya. "We had such an amazing time creating this video. The 'girl fed by TV' is actually my niece and I am so proud of her. She did an amazing job. Nirvana is one of my favorite bands and filming this video made me realize just how vacant the creative world is today without Kurt Cobain."

The video will make its on-air debut Saturday night on MTV2's Headbangers Ball. But check out the sneak preview below, then watch Nirvana playing the song live in 1992.

Now that you've seen the new Down video, let's hear more from singer Philip Anselmo about boxing. Why? Because he's the self-appointed "best frontman in the world." Isn't that enough for ya? This clip and more will air on the big screen on Saturday night's Headbangers Ball on MTV2.

Watch it again on Saturday's Headbangers Ball on MTV2. Check out more riffage from Anselmo in the boxing ring later today. Also, give this killer Down Q&A a read.

Shadows Fall put down their beers, leave the strip club and honor the nation's fallen soldiers in their new, partially black-and-white video for "Another Hero Lost," the most serious, heartfelt song the band has ever written.

The tune was inspired by the death of singer Brian Fair's cousin, a soldier killed in Iraq. "The video combines some intimate performance footage of the band contrasted by stark images of everyday people paying tribute to loved ones who left this world before their time,” Fair said in a statement to Headbangers Ball Blog.

Now  check out "Another Hero Lost," and leave your comments below. Then, watch it again on Saturday night's Headbangers Ball on MTV2.

I get asked a lot of tattoo-related questions in my travels. But for some reason, the question I always hear the most is, “Did you ever get puked on?” Unfortunately, the answer is yes.

I had been tattooing at a street shop for less than a year, and, obviously still had a lot to learn. While I was working on a customer, he passed passed out, which was the first time that happened. Not sure what to do, and in a slight panic, I went to my boss, who came in the room and tried to wake the guy up, but to no avail. Finally, he told me, “You might as well finish the tattoo while he’s out, since he’s not moving.”

So I got back to work. About ten minutes later, seemingly still unconscious, my customer lifted his head and projectile vomited across the room. He started by puking at the wall next to his head, and as he slowly turned his head, the typhoon of vomit splashed in an arc —much like a water sprinkler. He ended this puke-fest by spewing in my lap. It was probably one of the most disgusting experiences of my life. Then, the guy dropped his head and went back to being unconscious, as if it never happened.

Apparently, he was drunk, something I hadn't noticed when I started working on him. I managed to wake his ass up, at which point, he and his girlfriend agreed to clean my room. Of course, I was holding my baseball bat at the time. Since we didn't have a garden hose or anything else to wash myself off with, I used about 30 cups of water before I got enough of the crap off me to ride my bike home to change.

At the end of my half hour ride home, the vomit was dry and stuck to my leg through my pants. I had to hose myself down in the yard like a dog. And it took a another day to clean my room. So, let me tell you, getting puked on is not fun. That was the last drunk I ever tattooed, and I think I’ll keep it that way… chunks are gross.

In the second installment of our week-long series with ex-Pantera and Down vocalist Philip Anselmo, the pugnacious fighter steps into the ring and talks about why he's the undisputed heavyweight champion of heavy metal and how he's working with the best band playing today.

Here, the ringmaster discusses the importance of recognizing our gifts and using them to the fullest:

Tomorrow, be sure to check out the Headbangers Blog premiere of the new Down video for "On March the Saints." And watch it again on the big screen on Saturday's Headbangers Ball on MTV2.

We're gonna stop guessing in advance who our Bang candidates are gonna pick. The only one we got right so far is Slipknot. After all, who else would pick their own video. But we were seriously banking on The Devil Wears Prada to choose a more melodic group like Atreyu or As I Lay Dying for their Bang of the Week. We never figered they'd select the thrashy, corrosive Darkest Hour. Here's what singer Mike Hranica was thinking:

"The reason I picked Darkest Hour is because of their phenomenal guitar parts and
musicianship," he says. "I think "Undoing ruin" is a very innovative record, and one of my favorites as far as fast metal is concerned. we ended up touring with them for a large portion of the summer on Sounds of the Underground Tour, where I picked up their new record Deliver Us. It was interesting to hear Darkest Hour continue their crazy guitar parts and solos, as well as expand their traditional vocal range to include some singing. They most certainly switched up their sound, while continuing their leadership in straight, good metal. in the vast world of metal bands."
