One of the most exciting tours of 2007 was Radio Rebellion, an extreme metal outing that featured Behemoth, Job For a Cowboy, Gojira and Beneath the Massacre.
The tour ran from mid-October to mid-November, and while it was going full steam, Headbangers Ball Blog sat down with Behemoth frontman Adam “Nergal” Darski, Job For a Cowboy singer Jonny Davy and guitarist Bobby Thompson and Gojira frontman Joseph Duplantier for a roundtable discussion about all things metal.
In the first of three daily posts, we talked about how radio metal is an oxymoron and how bands that don’t get radio play can make a living. Tune in again tomorrow for more.

1.im still wondering if they are gonna release a dvd for this tour bc i saw the cameras and ~#~$ at the trocadero.
2.mtv’s media thing blows. you cant jump around in the video or even watch it in one click bc it takes way to long to load
3. the vids should be longer.

Finally, MTV touches base with real metal bands, not the usual crap they feed to the masses. But if thats it for the interview, what a rip off! Typical MTV BS!!

MTV2 should be ashamed. Just like when the original Headbangers Ball died, there was this pathetic, sad couple of months when whoever the %?$@ was in charge was airing Nirvana and Soundgarden during the show. Then they aired that show Super…something, but totally failed. Same thing tiday.. shitty, non-metal music, too many commercials, and maybe one or two real metal bands if you’re lucky. %?$@ you MTS. GO suck an advertiser’s $*~@, and keep that thumb up your producer’s ass. God forbid (not the band) you actually play real metal.

I agree. %@*# MTV! We can thank them for all of the saggy-pants, white, wanna-be-gangsta’ kids in Suburbia!
Out of a whole weeks worth of MTV air time, less than two hours is devoted to metal. Then, to boot, its immediatedly followed by a hip-hop-show MARATHON!?!? Wtf?
Its defintitely worth seeing what the college radio stations are offering. I kept up on all the latest metal, while doing a 5 yr prison term, thanks to college radio shows. Even learned of some new quality metal.
Support your local underground stations!!!

you gotta remember the media is always goon have the spotlight on wutevr the scene is nowadays…in no way am i baggin on metal at all cuz i dont give a @#$% wut scene is goin down my music is metal but it honestly doesnt suprise me why the M.T.V.s do what they do. they go after the profit, not the talent which is sad
