Before we dig into this week’s indecipherable logo we have a jackal’s bone to pick with some of our readers. Last week we received two separate emails accusing us of stealing our idea for “Indecipherable Logo of the Day” from Metalsucks.net’s “Completely Unreadable Band Logo of the Week.”
Obviously, those contentious f—wits didn’t bother doing any research because if they had it would have been perfectly clear that Headbangersblog came up with the idea first. Metalsucks.net’s first “Unreadable Band Logo” was Vomitory (a poor choice since even a new age fan with cataracts and glaucoma could read that logo), and it was posted on April 12, 2007. By comparison, our first Indecipherable Logo of the Day, Nagelfar, was posted on February 28, 2007. So we ask you, who’s copying who?
Now that we got that off our twisted minds, let’s dive into our latest entry. This logo may be hard to read, but it’s easy to understand what the band stands for and where its liturgical allegiances lie. While it’s possible that the art embellishments on the left and right side of the image are swords, there’s no question that the middle image is an inverted cross, and just to prove how evil they are, these guys put a pentagram in the middle of of it. In other words, we doubt they’re going to be part of the Living Sacrifice and Demon Hunter Tour. Let us know who you think they are and we’ll give you the correct answer tomorrow.
