We figured you all have had enough of Otep Shamaya for a while... Just kiddin'!
Her weekly "Might Makes Write" guest blog always elicits a frenzied response from you guys, and Otep's videos regularly draw loads of viewers from all walks of metaldom. So, we're thrilled to be able to premiere the band's new video for the song "Confrontation."
We'll totally abstain from making any snarky or judgmental comments, lest we fall prey to her new crusade to call out mean critics who can't write. So, we'll just agree that the song rocks, the video kicks ass and let her talk about the particulars.
"We filmed the video partly in my apartment and mostly on one of the trendiest streets (Robertson Blvd) in all of Los Angeles where celebutards and other noteworthy icons go to shop, feast, and (of course) be seen and swarmed by scores of hungry paparazzi," Otep tells HBB Blog. "It was a beautiful event for me to invade one of their most sacred places with our monstrous message of rogue individuality, cerebral responsibility, and frenzied resistance to the status quo. We frightened many and awakened a few more. They had never seen or heard anything like us and I adored every minute of it."
