Lots of metal bands hold open calls for fans who want to appear in their videos. Usually, you just have to show up wearing your favorite t-shirt and be willing to sit around doing practically nothing for about eight hours for no pay. But the black souls of Dimmu Borgir are a bit more demanding.
If you want to be in their upcoming video, which shoots April 14 and 15 in the Los Angeles area, you'll have to prove to them you've got what it takes. And, in this case, what it takes is a some genuine battle armor. Of course, Dimmu's not being too particular. According to a message posted to their faithful, "any and all styles [are] welcome."
However, before you drop in on the shoot, you'll have to send an email to junkerdesigns@yahoo.com featuring a photo of you in your medieval war garb. If you're one of the chosen, food will be provided on set.
We just hope the UCLA Center for Medieval and Renaissance Studies and any other local museums that have armor on display beef up on security starting , err, now.
Since we just showed you Dimmu Borgir's "The Serpentine Offering" video on yesterday's Bang of the Week, here's the clip for "Progenies of the Great Apocalypse."
