Here's a little more background. The Black Dahlia Murder are from Waterford, Michigan, have played Ozzfest and Sounds of the Underground and draw from elements of Swedish melodic death metal and black metal. The band was not named after that crappy Brian De Palma movie, but by the event the movie's based on, the unsolved murder of actress Elizabeth Short.
Unearth come from Massachusetts and are a little more inspired by hardcore and thrash, though they've also got some killer Scandinavian-influenced licks and leads that they dish out like heaping portions of Swedisih meatballs. Yeah, and they've played Ozzfest, too. For tech heads, guitarists Buzz McGrath and Ken Susi like seven-string guitars and bassist John Maggard digs five-string basses. And for nerds, Unearth contributed the song "The Chosen" to the "Aqua Teen Hunger Force Colon Movie." They named themselves after the term for pulling crap -- like corpses -- our of the ground.
