If we've learned anything from last week's 'Who Rocks Harder' contest between Unearth and The Black Dahlia Murder it's that both bands have some seriously loyal and passionate fans, and that we'll probably receive as many comments from people complaining about who won as we got while the competition was going on.
The winner by a fair margin, of course, is Unearth, but many headbangers who weighed in are clearly fans of both bands. "Tough choice," said Sean. "Black Dahlia Murder is more brutal and has entertaining videos, but I think Unearth has more talented musicians and a more consistent lineup."
Echoing the sentiment and presenting a bit more fervor was Jason who wrote, "Unearth fer sure. That band has more breakdowns than Hyndai."
Clearly, there were dissenters. Harris, disgusted by the exultations of his peers exclaimed, "Are you all serious. Unearth? Really? I mean, they are good, but they are not better then The Black Dahlia Murder. TBDM have more death metal influences, which make them the winner in my opinion."
We're just glad no one made us cast a vote. But if you held a gun to your head, we'd say... Ha! You'll have to whip out a firearm to get that out of us. But cheers to the winners. Here's a batch of their videos:
