Congratulations to Nick Scott, who nailed this week's Indecipherable logo by commenting, "That is Discomformity, from Japan I believe."
Yes, indeed. Inspired by Suffocation, Immolation and Pyrexia, Disconformity play crushing, unrelenting death metal with ferocity and skill.
The band was formed in 2002 by guitarist Keisuke (ex-Vagotomy, Glossectomy), who recruited singer Yu-Ki, and drummer Kazz. Soon after, second vocalist
Sho-Gun came onboard as did second guitarist Muneo (ex-Exacerbate).The lineup was completed with bassist Phillow, and Disconformity started playing local shows with Defiled, Woundeed and others.
In 2003, Yu-Ki left citing musical differences, and the band started working on original songs with just one singer. They released their debut three-song demo CD Penetrated Unseen Suppression in February 2004. Four months later, Muneo quit, but Disconformity soldiered on and in April 2005 the band hired guitarist 34-Sick (ex-Viscera Infest, Glossectomy). The group released the EP Depravation of Stigma in 2005.
