We're not sure whether Motorhead frontman Lemmy would be happier about getting the band's current single "Rock Out" in a national TV show or being touched (up) by tattoo vixen Kat Von D. Fortunately, Lem didn't have to choose between the two.
On Thursday at 10 p.m. EST, Von D.'s TLC network program "LA Ink" features the lovely lass working on three of the Motorhead frontman's old, faded tattoos while "Rock Out" blares in the background. How much do you wanna bet that at some point the rocker asked her, "Kat, can I feel your tats?"
The program is a companion piece to the recent Lemmy/Motörhead article in the January, 2009 issue of Inked Magazine. In it, Lemmy discusses:
* The three tattoos: The Ace of Spades (left forearm), a Capricorn sign (left shoulder) and an Indian shield (right forearm).
* His first tattoo: He got it in 1973 in Dayton, Ohio when he was in Hawkwind. It was a marijuana leaf, which he's since had covered up because it looked like "a pizza with wings." It's now an Indian shield.
* The biggest tattoo disaster he's seen: A friend was getting "Born to Lose" tattooed on her arm, and the guy was about to spell it with two o's - "Born to Loose." Lemmy saved her just in time.
* Some wild Motörhead tattoos he's seen: Says Lemmy, "A friend of ours in Germany has his entire back covered with the logo and he's got us tattooed on the sides of his head and chest. He's got our faces on the calves of his legs."
The hard-livin' Englishman also talks about politics, strippers, UFOs, sex, gambling, ghosts, porn stars and being a roadie for Jimi Hendrix. Oh, and there's a bit about the upcoming Lemmy movie.
