New York avant garde jazz experimentalist and devout Jew, John Zorn, has released the self-titled album by extreme metal band Black Shabbis on his label Tzadik. The band, which is fronted by Jamie Saft, focuses on dark moments in Jewish history and antisemitic portrayals of Jews in literature. EX DEO - Romulus

Ex-Deo, the new band from Katakylsm frontman Marizio Iocono, has posted the first video "Romulus" on its MySpace. The song comes from the band's debut album, Romulus, which comes out June 30. The video was filmed in Belgrade, Serbia in March with director Stanimir "Staca" Lukic, who has worked with Type O Negative, Moonspell and Kamelot among others. Click more to enter the arena. Ministry's Al Jourgensen may be credited with founding the industrial metal music scene, but for those really in the know, there is no bigger fan when it comes to hockey, and in particular, his hometown team, the Chicago Blackhawks. In fact, Jourgensen loves the Blackhawks so much, last year he gifted the team with a new theme song, "Keys to the City."

Metallica have posted professional video of their cover of Holocaust's "The Small Hours," which was shot May 7 at the Leipzig Arena in Leipzig Germany. Metallica's studio recording of the song was first released on the 1987 EP Garage Days Re-Revisited. It later resurfaced on the band's 1998 double CD Garage Inc. Click "more" to watch the new video.
