Here's the new video from As I Lay Dying, "I Never Wanted."

"We've talked about doing a video for I Never Wanted for quite some time now," says guitarist Phil Sgrosso. "Most videos that we've done have been for more fast and aggressive songs that have the usual AILD sound to it but we wanted to mix things up and have a slower (but still heavy!) video that would be made up of footage from our new DVD, 'This Is Who We Are.'" Later this month, God Forbid will release a video for the song "War of Attrition," from their new album Earthsblood. Click "more" to watch a teaser of the clip: Read more...

Just two days before launching a tour with Lamb of God, As I Lay Dying, Children of Bodom and Municipal Waste, God Forbid have announced that guitarist Dallas Coyle has quit the band. In a statement, his brother, guitarist Doc Coyle, said there was a "mutual disagreement" that "became angry on both sides, and [Dallas] decided to sit out the tour the day we were supposed to leave."

His ex-bandmates assumed the rift would be temporary, then, according to Doc, they "learned later he did not want to tour anymore at all." You say your mounted double-edged battle axe fell off the wall last week and landed on your laptop, leaving you without digital communication for several days? Drag man, but don't worry. You can catch up on everything you missed on last week's Blog right here.

Our exclusive podcast was with Heaven and Hell (a.k.a. Black Sabbath with Ronnie James Dio). Unfortunately, we were unable to reach guitarist Tony Iommi since the old geezer was hanging out in England when his bandmates were in New York, but we did hook up with bassist Geezer Butler and vocalist Ronnie James Die who told us all about their new album The Devil You Know. Our prayers have been answered. Christian metalcore band War of Ages have released a new video for the song "All Consuming Fire. The Erie, Pennsylvania group shot the clip on February 7 in their home town at Forward Hall.

"We are truly stoked on the all consuming fire video!," vocalist Leroy Hamp told HeadbangersBlog.com. "This was a great opportunity for us to give something back to our fans. They came out strong last month and we could not be happier with how it turned out. We feel like it shows the energy of a War Of Ages show." Click "more" to see what Hamp is talking about. It looks to us like the guys in As I Lay Dying are fans of the syndicated sci-fi/horror series "Millennium." The title of band's first ever DVD set, "This is Who We Are," is the slogan of the show and lasts almost as long as all of the "Millennium" episodes back-to-back.

Consisting of three DVDs, "This is Who We Are" documents the seven-year careeer (so far) of As I Lay Dying and is packed with live performances, videos, behind-the-scenes clips and a complete history of the band. The package was produced and directed by Denise Korycki, who also tackled Cannibal Corpse's excellent "Centuries of Torment."

Last week, Doc Coyle, guitarist for God Forbid, told us that his band was lined up for what he called "one of the biggest tours this year," but he wouldn't tell us the other groups involved. And when we asked if the headliner rhymed with Slam of Mod he said, "I have no idea what you're talking about." Liar, liar, pants on fire!

Starting April 2, God Forbid will, indeed, hit the road with Slam of Mod -- err, Lamb of God. God Forbid will actually be in a rotating support slot with Municipal Waste. Direct support on the bill will come from As I Lay Dying and Children of Bodom. Not a bad way to spend a romantic spring evening.

The No Fear Energy Music Tour will launch April 2 in Phoenix, Arizona and will run through May 15 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Click "more" for dates and videos. Read more...

To celebrate the announcement of this year's Bloodstock Festival, which takes place in Derby, England October 14 to 16, Britain's Metal Hammer magazine have posted interview snippets on their Web site in which they ask numerous musicians, "What's the worst thing you've ever stolen" and "What's the worst lie you've ever told."

Almost as interesting as the answers themselves are the numerous names of the bands interviewed that seem to be huge in England but remain unknown in the U.S. For example, how many of you out there know who Ted Maul, The Defiled, Firebrand Super Rock (hot blond chick, though, and love that Scottish accent), Devil's Gift and Praying Mantis and Alestorm (ugly dude, nice band name) are?

Fortunately, Metal Hammer also got some good soundbites from members of Opeth, Akercocke, Soulfly, Overkill, Dimmu Borgir, Evile, Soilwork, As I Lay Dying and Napalm Death. Click "more" to roll tape. Read more...

The side project of As I Lay Dying frontman Tim Lambesis, Austrian Death Machine, have released their first video and it's a crazy and action-packed as "Total Recall" -- well, almost. For those, unfamiliar with the group, Austrian Death Machine write songs about Arnold Schwartzenegger movies and are allegedly fronted by the muscular Ahhnold. Click "more" to watch "Get to the Choppa," the title of which comes from the 1987 film "Predator." Read more...

Here's War of Ages singer Leroy Hamp talking about working in the studio with As I Lay Dying singer Tim Lambesis, who produced WOA's fifth album Arise and Conquer. The disc, which came out last week, is the follow-up to 2007's Fire From the Tomb:

"When I heard Tim Lambesis was getting into producing records, I wanted to work with him. I didn't think it would be possible for us, scheduling-wise, because of how busy he tends to be. We asked our label and management about the possibility and they contacted him. He said he would be stoked to make it happen! Read more...
