What is it about Japanese adolescents and the instrumental showstopper "YYZ" by Canadian power trio Rush?
By now, you've probably seen the viral video of an 11-year-old girl playing an amazing cover of the song on synthesizer. But we recently unearthed a clip of a 13-year-old bashing out the tune on drums, with just a few tempo gaffs that can be easily remedied on Pro-Tools. Besides, she spins her sticks better than Tommy Lee and smiles through the whole performance. Omedetou gozaimasu!

VH1Classic.com has posted streaming video of Rush frontman Geddy Lee and guitarist Alex Lifeson's appearance on "That Metal Show," which is hosted by metal guru Eddie Trunk. The interview was filmed last October and aired on December 27.

Nevermind that none of the members of Rush are Jewish. That's not stopping VH1 Classics from devoting 24 hours of programming to the Canadian power trio starting at sunset on September 29 -- the beginning of Rosh Hashanah (which the network will celebrate as RUSH Hashanah).
The tribute to Rush will include two of the band's concert DVD, "Rush in Rio" and 'R30" as well as past and present videos from band. Rush will release a new concert DVD, "Snakes and Arrows Live," on November 25. Dust off your shofar and play along with these classics: Read more...

Following their July 12 show in Holmdel, New Jersey, Canadian power trio Rush were sucked into a wormhole and transported back to 1975 -- which was the last time they performed on a U.S. television program. Read more...
